Do I need an account? +

No. Pulse is a local desktop app: no sign-up, no sync, no telemetry.

Do I need an API key? +

For scoring, briefings and job matching, yes. Point Pulse at Cloudflare, OpenRouter, or any OpenAI-compatible endpoint. Reading and saving work without one.

Is there a subscription? +

No. Pulse is open source. Your only cost is your model provider, and you choose which one.

Which platforms does it run on? +

macOS on Apple silicon, and Windows 10 or 11. Both have installers on the releases page. Linux is not built yet: the Tauri configuration is in the repository, but it has not been tested.

Where does my data live? +

On your machine. Items are stored locally, and keys stay in your own config file.
